Play reading
A Bunch of Amateurs by Ian Hislop & Nick Newman - Hosted by Ruby Clark. “Keen to boost his flagging career, fading Hollywood action hero Jefferson Steele arrives in England to play King Lear in Stratford - only to find that this is not the birthplace of the Brad, but a sleepy Suffolk village. Instead of Kenneth Branagh & Dame Judy Dench, the cast are a bunch of amateurs trying to save their theatre from developers. As acting worlds collide and Jefferson’s career implodes, he discovers some truths about himself - along with his inner Lear”. A fabulous comedy read through and we are hoping you can come along to bring this to life. If you have any questions then please contact the Artistic committee otherwise we look forward to seeing you on the night.

Jubilee Celebrations
On Thursday 2nd June as part of the celebrations for the Platinum Jubilee a beacon will be lit on the Rec. Jill Rogers, a member of PP and Chair of the Parish council wonders of we can provide a choir to sing the anthem as the beacon is lit. It's not particularly demanding so a run through that evening should be fine. If you are interested in being part of this please let me know on publicity@pirtonplayers.org.

Play Reading
Pirton Players Club Night There will be a play reading on Wednesday 25th January – at 7.45pm. It is a very funny and poignant play by Willie Russell of Educating Rita and Blood Brothers fame – Stags and Hens – the action, surprisingly, takes place on a simultaneous stag and hen do, so lots of alcohol fuelled fun and high jinks ensue! Please feel free to bring your own drink and nibbles, tea and coffee available. Looking forward to seeing you there! Artistic Committee
