To all members.
Our next Pirton Players show is fast approaching and I know that the time of year is difficult for many people but I am concerned that many villagers will have wrongly assumed that "The Wolves of Willoughby Chase" is just a children’s show with a cast only of children.
Please make sure your friends know that this is wrong as the cast is very mixed involving adults, teenagers and children, mainly from year 5 and 6 at Pirton School. The story is one for all ages from about 5 upwards:
In an alternative history of England the Channel Tunnel was opened and thousands of wolves flooded the country. Against this background two teenage cousins, Bonnie and Sylvia, are exposed to the evil plot of two wicked adults to kill Bonnie’s parents and seize her inheritance. This play resembles The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe in its appeal to all ages and has a cast starring two brave teenagers, a feisty chorus of local under 10s and some wicked adults. It plays at the Village Hall on 6 July at 7.30pm and on Saturday 7 July at 2pm and 5.30pm. Tickets are still available at the village shop.
It is essential for the well being of the group that we sell tickets for our shows and a huge effort has, as usual, been made to make this a success. We need your help as members to sell tickets given the number of competing events at this time of year.
Many thanks,
Janet
