Support your local amdram

There is a choice of amdram shows coming up in the next couple of weeks. This week there is the Lytton Players‘ production of the musical whodunnit ’Curtains’, starring Sera Dinmore. Also this week, at the QMT we have Putteridge Bury’s ‘Iolanthe’, directed by our very own Alison Gibbs. And I’m sure you’ll all be supporting, in one way or another, our production of ‘Aladdin’ in a few weeks time.

I would, however, like to make a quick plug for another show happening next week. Hitchin Thespians are putting on ‘Anything Goes’ at Woodside Hall in Hitchin. Julie Dawson and I will be putting on our tap shoes and boarding the SS American for a week of madcap antics on the high seas. So if you enjoy a bit of tap dancing, or would like to hear some catchy Cole Porter tunes, please come and join us. Tickets can be purchased from the Hitchin Thespians website, www.hitchinthespians.org.uk.
